The Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on some measures related to the organization of the 1st European Games.

Order, guided by the item 32 of the article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan:

1.     Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan in a two-months period should:

1.1.         take proper measures for the arrangement of accreditation system of persons participating in organizing and holding the I European Games and as well as the participants of the Games;

1.2.         Determine the scope of persons to be accredited, approve the accreditation rule and the form of the accreditation card;

1.3.         Take necessary measures to ensure the operability of the accreditation system.

2.     It should be determined the following:

2.1.         Foreigners and persons living permanently without citizenship in foreign countries who are accredited as required can come to and leave the Republic of Azerbaijan with a passport or other border-crossing documents and accreditation card 60 days prior to the opening of the I European Games and during 30 days after the closing;

2.2.         Foreigners who got a ticket for the I European Games and persons living permanently without citizenship in foreign countries:

2.2.1.  Can get a visa from structural divisions of the Consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Republic located at the international airports of the Republic of Azerbaijan starting 10 days prior to the opening of the Games;

2.2.2.  when applied for a visa the ticket for the I European Games or a document confirming  the purchase of the ticket to be submitted;

2.3.         Foreigners and persons living permanently without citizenship in foreign countries who have been employed in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan related to organizing and holding the I European Games and accredited as required do not have to get a work permit.

3.     The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan must work out financial and technical matters related to the arrangement of visa issuance activity at the international airports of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the persons coming to the I European Games.

4.     The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan:

4.1.         Should inform the European Olympic Committee and relevant bodies of foreign countries about the visa facilitation procedures for the persons coming to the I European games to the Republic of Azerbaijan related to the I European Games;

4.2.         Should ensure placement of information on the visa facilitation procedures for persons coming to the Republic of Azerbaijan in internet resources of the Ministry, as well as embassies and consulates of the Republic of Azerbaijan in foreign countries.

5.     The State Migration Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan should inform aviation companies arranging flights to the Republic of Azerbaijan about the visa facilitation procedures for persons coming to the Republic of Azerbaijan related to the I European Games.

6.     Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan should work out other issues arising from this Order.

7.     Item 2.1 of this Order shall come into force on January 1, 2015.
