Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received the delegation led by Ian Liddell-Grainger, Chairman of the European Conservatives Group of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe

At the meeting, the sides had a broad exchange of views on the ways of advancing the cooperation between the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and Azerbaijan and on its future perspectives.

Noting that Azerbaijan has a successful cooperation with PACE, Minister Elmar Mammadyarov expressed his conviction for increasing efforts to further expand the relations in the atmosphere of constructive dialogue and understanding between the sides.

Informing about the negotiations process on the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Elmar Mammadyarov underscored the unacceptability of any attempts to change the internationally recognized borders of states by use of force.

Expressing satisfaction with his visit to Azerbaijan, Ian Liddell-Grainger highly appreciated the successful cooperation of Azerbaijan with the Council of Europe. Noting that in the framework of the visit they also held meetings and had fruitful discussions in the Parliament of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ian Liddell-Grainger also underlined the active role of the delegation of Azerbaijan at PACE.

During the meeting, the sides also exchanged their views on the other issues of mutual interest.
